Prime Minister Edi Rama has participated via live link in the European Union Enlargement Summit being held in Brussels. Rama said during his speech that Albania is making great strides in the fight against corruption. He said that justice in recent years has not looked left or right and is hitting anyone who commits corruption.

"Let me remind you that Albania is doing something unprecedented and unique in the entire region. Our justice reform and our recognition of the independence of the judiciary have created the example that the fight against corruption is something that goes beyond words and facades. And in a very balanced way without looking either left or right. What has never happened before in Albania since the declaration of independence is happening in recent years. This is not to say that we are better than others but that we have taken the fight against corruption very seriously," he said.

Rama further said that he aims for public prosecutions to be carried out transparently with Artificial Intelligence by 2027. He also spoke about Diella, the minister generated with Artificial Intelligence, saying that he is awaiting “the birth of her 83 children.” The head of government also emphasized that Albania deserves its place in the EU.

"Diella is the product of a systematic war. We aim that by 2027 public prosecutions will be carried out transparently with Artificial Intelligence. I am convinced that you have heard that Diella is pregnant and has 83 children, and based on the latest news we should expect her to give birth to these children. And I wanted to tell you that we are the only country in this process that uses AI in the transfer and when it comes to the process of laws, not only for translation but also for analyzing the impacts and for drafting and preparing the legal package for parliament. So we are trying to run as much as possible, using AI but without forgetting that our place in Europe is deserved," said Rama. /CNA
