Balkans with 15 steps towards green Europe/ Kapetanovi? at the London Summit:

London, October 22, 2025 – At the Berlin Process Leaders Summit, hosted by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the Western Balkans region received good news: the 15 joint outcomes achieved this year will make the region more competitive, greener and closer to the European Union.

The Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), Amer Kapetanovic, presented in London a package of 15 concrete achievements, ranging from sustainable investments and clean energy, to regional tourism and the transfer of social rights to citizens.

"The results speak for themselves – fifteen tangible achievements that strengthen cooperation, green transition and regional integration. Together we are keeping the region on the path of growth and European convergence," declared Kapetanovi?, also welcoming the UK's joining the RCC Board.

In London, the approval of all 15 outcomes by the region's leaders was confirmed, following agreements reached earlier in Dubrovnik and London during ministerial meetings on the Green Agenda and the economy.

Kapetanovic stressed that 82% of Western Balkan citizens believe that regional cooperation brings tangible results in the economy, security and politics, therefore "the implementation of this year's commitments should be a priority."

Within the framework of the Summit, the head of the RCC held a meeting with Borjana Krišto, the President of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to discuss concrete steps for the implementation of regional initiatives.
