My mother died aged 93.

It was an orphan. Her father married her when she was 15. 

13 children were born.

At that time we lived in Mbrezhan-Përmet.

In 1968 the father died... 

When he turned 85, a 48-year-old daughter died. The light…

He tells me one day:

Për të shpëtuar një gjeni, në skenë futet psikologu.

E fton një ditë në shtëpi. Në mur, mes pikturave, varuar një portret…

-E ke dashur?...

-Shumë. Tha psikologu. U martuam me dashuri. U sëmur. Me kancer.

I shërbeva tetë vjet.

Më vdiq ndër duar…

-Përse e kujton? Pyeti djali…

Tha psikologu: Gruaja ime p*rthte natën.

Një natë p*rdhi aqë fort, sa zgjoi qenin.

Një mëngjes, p*rdhi dhe hapi sytë.

-Kush e bëri? Më pyeti.

-Unë i thashë. Për të mos e vënë në sëkëlldi…

Si mund të lidhet një film amerikan me kujtimin e mamasë sime? Ja që lidhen…

1.Kur isha djalë, mamaja më thoshte:

-Shko në banjë. Bëj ujët e hollë. Pastaj vish pantallonat…

Ka rrezik ti bësh me harta…

Qeshja. Isha I ri… E kisha kandarin nën kontroll.

Rrodhën vitet. Sot sa herë që shkoj në banjë kujtoj mamanë.

Normale. Më janë “lodhur” hallatet nga pleqëria… duhen mbrojtur pantallonat nga spërkatja, de !

2. Për disa vjet jetuam nën një çati.

Dy çifte e gjysëm. Unë me Ezmerkën.

Vëllai i vogël me nusen.

Mamaja-beqare.

Shtëpi e vogël. Më e vogël banja.

Një ditë ditë u fut mamaja në banjë.

Tek dera priste radhën nusja.

Doli vjehrra.

U fut dhe doli nusja si rrufe:

-Çfarë ere?

-E po, unë nuk bëra pilaf?!…

Sa herë që shkëmbehemi tek dera e banjës me Ezmerkën, hunda më kujtojnë mamanë…

3. Pasi vajta, 34 vjeç gjeta Ezmerkën.

E mora në shtëpi.

Mamaja e shihte me sy.
