Floods, a time for autopsy, not innocence!

The time when the country floods is not the "Day of Judgment," when someone makes accusations, and someone throws responsibility into the sea.

Obviously, if the government will not take any responsibility, the solution is simple: "Heavy rain, we can't do anything about it. There is flooding and damage everywhere." Add to that the blockage of canals by debris and that's it. See you in the next flood.

Also, compensation for those affected is part of the solution, to silence people.
But where does the money for compensation come from? From our taxes, obviously.

But wouldn't it be better to invest this money in protective infrastructure than to buy mud-damaged mattresses and washing machines every three months?

Natural disasters, beyond the political dimension that we cannot avoid, must be transformed into a school.

Everything needs to be verified. Where are our weak points? Why did a village or a neighborhood in the city flood? Was it the canal's fault, is it blocked and needs to be unblocked? Is it small and needs to be expanded? Should a new dam be built? Should an embankment be raised? Should a new embankment be built? Should new sewers be opened in the city? Should construction be banned in a certain area? Should the population be relocated from a certain village? Should a protective forest area be established somewhere else?

Undoubtedly, waste must also be collected and measures must be taken to prevent it from being thrown into the canals, and to prevent them from being blocked.

When someone dies, they do an autopsy to learn the cause, when there are doubts. And this also serves medicine to improve. I believe you know the expression "medicine was developed on corpses"? Man must also improve his living conditions, starting from the problems he faces.

And this is the case that, instead of the opposition's attacks and the government's excuses, we should do an autopsy and change our behavior. Because, in a month we may have the next rain and it will be the same story, even worse. Because in a year we may have another government, but it will still be the same story.

Because, according to today's government, in 2012 the government was to blame for the floods. While in 2026, God is to blame. While for today's opposition, in 2012 God was to blame, while now the government is.

No country is immune from floods. We must do everything we can to minimize the damage. That is the challenge.
