Ginger can improve your sex life, suggests a study according to The Sun.

Researchers found that people who eat more of the fiery root have a higher libido.

Experts suggest that it increases testosterone levels and increases blood flow, like Viagra.

It can also reduce the hormone serotonin, making people feel less embarrassed or ashamed.

They asked 499 people in China how many days a week they ate ginger and how often they had sex or 'felt alive'.

Ginger is a staple in China, but the British can use it in cookies, cakes, beer, juices or ground spices in their cooking.

Professor Pekka Santtila, of New York University in Shanghai, said: "Evidence suggests that ginger can improve sexual function in both men and women.
