Dua Lipa will become a billionaire after the big change

Dua Lipa is well on her way to becoming Britain's richest female pop star after buying publishing rights to her back catalog and going into business with her formidable businessman father.

She has set up a new company, Radical 22 Publishing Limited, with her father, Dukagjin, to help manage all her commercial assets.

This comes days after she announced that she will be severing all ties with former management company TaP.

A source told The Sun: “It's an incredibly brave move. Dua wants to take back control of her career. Dukagjin felt like she was giving away too high a percentage of her income, and after becoming her manager, he felt the next logical step was to come in as an official business partner.

Although Dua made her move for different reasons, it also follows Taylor Swift's long-running feud with music mogul Scooter Braun after his label bought the major records of her first six albums in 2019.

Her third album will be released next year and follows a sold-out 91-show tour in the US and Australia, grossing more than £80m./ CNA
