Turkish actor of Albanian origin, Can Yaman, has reacted to news that he was arrested in Turkey for drug possession.

In a post on social media, Yaman writes that the Turkish press has long been unfair to him, but this is nothing new.

The actor addresses the Italian press, telling them not to make the mistake of copying the news from the Bosphorus.

Yaman says that if he had been caught with narcotics, he would not have been released so quickly, let alone traveled to Italy the next day.

 

 

" Dear Italian press, the Turkish press has been harsh on me for a long time, but this is nothing new! But not you! Please, do not make the mistake of copying the news coming from the Bosphorus. Do you think it is normal for me to walk around bars with banned substances at a time when the police are conducting extensive investigations, arresting many famous people? If it had been even minimally true, I would not have been released in such a short time and I would not have been able to return to Italy the next day.
