The well-known Albanian actor and director, Guri Koço, celebrates his 69th birthday this Wednesday.

The Korcar artist, born on December 6, 1954, has dedicated his life to cinematography and theater.

Since childhood, he has stood out with his talent and after completing his studies at the High Institute of Arts, he started working at the "Andon Zako Çajupi" theater in Korça.

Guri Koço gained wide recognition with the role of Iago in Shakespeare's tragedy Othello, as well as excelling with his acting as Valeri in Moliere's comedy The Miser (1982.

But these are not the only times when he amazed the public with his talent.

Guri Koço always leaned more and more towards comic roles, where he showed even more of his talent. In addition to the energy, the strong voice, the sense of authenticity, the dramatic tension he creates in his scenes, the actor also has the gift of comedy.

So he came to the public in 1997 with the comedy Jovan Bregu the refugee. Then he was involved in many other comedies, such as Zgohu Vasil (2002) or Hipokritet, where he collaborated with Aleko Prodani.

Arsiti, much loved by Albanians, also came to the public with feature films. Among them we should mention "Streets that were looking for sun" (1975); "Monument" (1977); "Dawns of the Great Season" (1981); "Strange Wedding" (1986); "People in the Stream" (1989); "Mao Tse Dun" (2007), etc.
