Mirush Kabashi, the master of the theater stage and not only, passed away this Tuesday, leaving a wound in the hearts of his family members and Albanians.

The well-known actor, who also holds the title "Deserved Artist" will be remembered for his invaluable contribution to Albanian filmography. 

Mirush Kabashi left his mark with his roles in the theater and in Albanian films, where there are about 100 of them.

The actor originally from Gjakova was born in Shkodër and grew up in Durrës

He was the director of the "Aleksandër Moisiu" theater in Durrës. Then he also worked in Albanian Television, as well as being a teacher of "Actor's Mastery" at the Academy of Arts.

Kabashi has often been the presenter of numerous artistic activities.

He has been described as one of the greatest interpreters of poetry in Albania, while his motivational videos circulate on the network, which have served and continue to serve as an example of inspiration.

The well-known artist stands out in satirical and comic roles. The characters embodied by Kabashi stand out for their originality, for their elegance, inspiring characters with significant differences from one to another, selected with wisdom and intuition.

Mirush Kabashi has received many accolades during his career as an actor.

At the National Festival of Professional Theaters in 1989, he was declared "Best Actor" with the role of Sadush Neziri in Ruzhdi Pulaha's comedy The Shadow of the Other.

With this role, at the Balkan Theater Festival held in Corinth, Greece, he was rated as one of the best actors. In 2002, he won the "Best Actor" award as a protagonist in the "Apollon 2002" Acting Festival with the role of Noka in Ilir Bezhani's comedy "Sa mire beri qe murti"

In 1997, in the ninth edition of the Experimental Theater Festival organized in Cairo, Egypt, Mirush Kabashi was awarded the "Golden Sphinx" as the most successful performer among one thousand participating actors from 46 countries around the world.

He received the titles "Honored Artist" and "Great Master of Work", while at the end of 2014 he was awarded the high title "Honour of the Nation"./ CNA
