Stole a bag with 45 million lek inside the car/ 46-year-old arrested in Tirana

Tirana police have arrested a 46-year-old man with the initials GT, alias GM, after he stole a bag of money worth around 45 million lek from a car.

During the search of the 46-year-old's apartment, the Police services found and seized the amount of money that this citizen had stolen in the parked vehicle. Approximately 45 million lek (some in euros and dollars) that this citizen had stolen were seized.

GT, alias GM, has been previously convicted several times for theft.

 

The police operation codenamed "Repeater" is being finalized by Police Station No. 4.

A bag containing large amounts of money in euros, dollars and lek was stolen from a parked vehicle. The 46-year-old was identified, arrested and put in handcuffs.

The services of Police Commissariat No. 4, after receiving a notification that a bag containing a considerable amount of money (around 47 million lek, some in euros and dollars) had been stolen from the vehicle of citizen BL, parked in the Medrese area, have organized the work to identify and capture the perpetrator.

Within the framework of the police operation codenamed "Repeater", based on police intelligence and rapid professional and investigative actions carried out by the Crime Investigation Specialists at Police Station No. 4, it was possible to identify, locate, capture and detain the suspected perpetrator of the theft, citizen:

G. T(M)., 46 years old, resident of Elbasan, previously convicted several times for theft.

During a search of the 46-year-old's apartment, police found and seized the amount of money that this citizen had stolen from the parked vehicle.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further procedural actions, the police statement said. CNA
