Tried to bribe police officer/ 55-year-old arrested

Citizen E.Gj, 55, was arrested by the police after being caught driving while intoxicated and attempting to bribe a police officer.

"He tried to bribe the Traffic Police officer who found him driving while intoxicated, the 55-year-old was arrested in flagrante delicto."

When the police officers asked for the vehicle's documentation and to perform an alcohol test, the driver of the vehicle, being intoxicated, approached the traffic police officers with the intention of avoiding the test.

Following the procedural actions, the driver of the vehicle, citizen E. Gj., 55 years old, resident of Durrës, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions" and "Irregular driving of a vehicle", the police announced./ CNA
