Cocaine and heroin worth 810 thousand euros seized in Vlora

Specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Sector, in cooperation with those of the Special Operational Force Sector, of the Vlora Police Department, in continuation of operations to crack down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics, based on information provided by police intelligence, have organized and finalized, after 4 weeks of investigations, the police operation codenamed "VORTEX". 

During this operation, citizens VJ, 53 years old, and KM, 37 years old, both residents of Fier, were arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics."

In the village of Novoselë, the Police services have located and stopped the vehicle with the driver, citizen VJ, and the passenger, citizen KM, in which, during the search, they found and seized 400 grams of suspected cocaine, which is suspected of being transported to the city of Vlora, to be sold.

Following the actions, the structures of the Vlora DVP, supported by the services of the Fier DVP, carried out a search of the apartment of citizen VJ, in Fier, where they found and seized 2 kg and 979 grams of suspected cocaine and 133 grams of suspected heroin.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that these citizens, after obtaining large quantities of narcotics in Fier, transported them to Vlora, where they then sold them to other citizens, who distributed them in doses. 

The narcotics, along with 3 electronic scales, 3 cell phones, and the vehicle that these citizens used for transportation, were seized as material evidence. 

Intensive work continues to identify and capture other citizens involved in this criminal activity./ CNA
