Snowfall/ Arbri Road is blocked, difficulties with traffic on some other axes

Due to snowfall in some mountainous areas of the country and rain in all regions of the country, the State Police has increased the presence of Road Police officers in the field and General Patrols.

As a result of the snowfall on the road axes in the mountainous areas of Shkodra, Kukes, Dibra and Korça, the Police appeals to drivers to show more vigilance and follow the instructions of the Traffic Police.

Currently, there are traffic difficulties on the road axes Bajram Curri-Valbonë and Kërnaj-Pac-Shimshan, in Kukës, Bogë-Qafë Thorë-Theth and Tamarë-Selcë-Vermosh, in Shkodër, vehicles on these axes must pass with chains. 

The Bypass-Qafë Murrizë road axis, in Dibër, is currently impassable, as the contractor is working to clear the road of snow.  

Snow plows are on site and continue to work on clearing the roads from snow and spreading salt.

At the same time, measures were taken on all national and urban road axes, due to the rain. In these conditions, the State Police appeals to drivers to moderate their speed, stay in line on the axes where there is a slowdown in movement and not to make wrong passes./ CNA
