Explosion on the ninth floor of a building in Tirana

The police have announced that last evening, a few minutes before midnight, the Operative Room was informed that in the apartment where the citizen EA lived, on "Sadik Petrela" street, on the 9th floor, a noise like an explosion was heard. 

It is reported that there was no one in the apartment and there was only material damage from the explosion. 

"At around 11:45 p.m., on 21.12.2024, the Operative Room was notified that a noise like an explosion was heard in the apartment where citizen EA lived, on "Sadik Petrela" street, on the 9th floor.

Immediately, the police services went there and forced open the door as there was no one in the apartment and they found on the balcony of this apartment, damaged glass and the glass of the balcony, which are suspected to have been damaged by explosives.

The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues to work to clarify the circumstances of the case, as well as to identify and arrest the author/s," the police announced. / CNA
