Illegal border crossing/ 1 arrested in Kapshtica, 1 other citizen is being

Two citizens were detained by the Kapshtica Border Police services, as cases of illegal border crossing.

A 35-year-old man was arrested and placed in handcuffs, resulting in him being declared wanted with the security measure "Arrest with imprisonment".

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old man was prosecuted after attempting to cross the border with a quantity of narcotics.

 

Announcement:

The services of the Korça Local Directorate of Border and Migration have intensified controls at crossing points and the green border, with the aim of preventing and combating cross-border crimes.

1. As part of the in-depth checks and interviews by the border police services at the green border, citizen P. H, 35 years old, resident of the village of Sovjan, Maliq, was detained at the entrance to Albania.

Against whom, the Korça Court has imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Production and sale of narcotics" and "Pushing minors into crime".

2. During detailed checks, carried out based on risk analysis, on citizens and the vehicles they travel in, the Kapshtica Border Police services in cooperation with the Korça Border Police services, detected 1 case of illegality at the border. During the physical check carried out on citizen OJ, 21 years old, resident in Greece, passenger on a bus line, at the exit of the Republic of Albania, a quantity of suspected narcotic substance cannabis sativa was found and seized.

At the conclusion of the procedural actions, criminal proceedings were initiated against the 21-year-old for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics".

The procedural materials were referred to the Korça Prosecutor 's Office for further action./CNA
