A 36-year-old man has been arrested after attempting to shoot a person to death on November 23 in the Institute area.

Citizen FF has been arrested for the criminal offenses of "Premeditated Murder", attempted, and "Unlicensed Possession and Production of Weapons, Explosive Weapons and Ammunition".

In connection with the incident, the police have arrested two other people for the criminal offense of "Supporting the perpetrator of the crime". 

Police announcement:

Tirana/The police operation codenamed "Accusation" is finalized.

He attempted to kill a citizen with a firearm, about three weeks ago, at the Institute, and was located and handcuffed on "Mother Teresa" Boulevard, the 36-year-old.

Two supporters of the 36-year-old were also arrested.

One helped him leave the scene when he committed the crime, while the other accompanied him at the time of his arrest.

As a result of the intelligence work and the pursuit carried out by specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Crimes against the Person, in cooperation with the services of Police Commissariat No. 3, with the objective of capturing the perpetrator of the gunshot wound, citizen MJ, on “Ramadan Citaku” street, on 23.11.2025, the operation “Accusation” was finalized.

As part of the operation, the following citizens were located and detained:

-FF, 36 years old, after the Court assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Premeditated murder", remaining in the attempted stage, and "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition";

-IL, 32 years old, after the Court assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Supporting the perpetrator of a crime";

Also, citizen MN, 30 years old, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Supporting the perpetrator of the crime".

The investigation revealed that citizen FF wounded citizen MJ with a firearm, for weak motives, and after the crime was helped by citizen IL to leave the scene.

The 36-year-old was caught after following the vehicle in which he was traveling with citizen MN, from the Institute to "Mother Teresa" Boulevard.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. / CNA
