Corruption with drivers/ 3 officers are placed under house arrest, 2 others are suspended

3 police officers were placed under house arrest this Friday in Elbasan and two others were suspended from duty.

5 police officers, with the duty of "Service Corps" at the Urban and Interurban Management Section in Elbasan, are suspected of having committed the criminal offenses of "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions", "Abuse of duty" and "Computer forgery".

Specifically, under house arrest are the officers with the initials AT, 32 years old, EH, 39 years old and XH. S., 50 years old.

On the other hand, the employees EK, 33 years old and N. XH., 34 years old, were suspended.

After the 4-month investigation carried out by AMP with special proactive methods under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, it was possible to prove with evidence the involvement of these employees in corrupt actions with vehicle drivers, who were caught in administrative violations by the radar devices of the Traffic Police.

The investigation started after complaints addressed by various citizens to the Police Supervision Agency./ CNA
