Air checks/Cannabis parcels are discovered

Based on the coordinates provided in advance, from the drone monitoring, carried out by the services of the DVP Shkodër and the commissariats depending on it, within the framework of the "Clean Territory" mega-operation, a series of checks were carried out from the air, with the support of the helicopter Air Force of the Ministry of Defense, with the objective of cracking down on cases of cultivation of narcotic plants. During the checks:

- the services of the Shkodër Police Station found in the territories of the administrative units Shosh, Guri i Zi, Ana e Mali and Postribë, and destroyed 29,825 cannabis plants;

- the services of the Fushë-Arrëz Police Station found and destroyed 70 cannabis plants in the territory of the Fierzë administrative unit. As a result of investigations and professional police actions, the suspected author of cultivating these plants, citizen PA, 56 years old, resident in the village of Kokëdodë, Fushë-Arrëz, was identified, caught and arrested.

The mega operation will continue from the air and from the ground. Meanwhile, at the direction of the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office, investigations are being carried out to identify and bring to justice the perpetrators of the cultivation of narcotic plants.

The Shkodër Local Police Directorate remains committed to the fight against the cultivation of cannabis and other criminal activities that threaten the safety of citizens.
