Executed Iraq's biggest trafficker/Albanian is sentenced to death

Xhuljano Prenga, the Albanian with Swedish citizenship, has been sentenced to death by a Baghdad court, after executing the Iraqi trafficker nicknamed "Benzema".

Investigative journalist Artan Hoxha discovered this sentence. He said in a TV appearance that there will be an appeal process for the young man, while he is currently in prison along with other European citizens.

Hoxha stated that Juljano Prenga holds Swedish citizenship and, unfortunately for him, Sweden does not have an embassy in Iraq.

"At the beginning of January, a 19-year-old Albanian from the Puka area, Xhuljano Prenga, killed the trafficker in Iraq, "Benzema". On June 13, the decision of the first instance was given, in the court of Baghdad, the death penalty was imposed. He is a Swedish citizen.

The other two people who were with him, a Swedish citizen and an Iraqi, who lives in Sweden but is an Iraqi citizen, have been sentenced, one of them to 25 years.

It continues to be a problem with Arab groups in Sweden, which have created a big problem in a very peaceful country like Sweden.

The decision of the first instance in Baghdad has convicted Juljano Prenga. Unfortunately as a Swedish citizen, there is another problem, Sweden does not have an embassy there, the embassy was attacked and burned down. The Swedish government is protecting his family.

The Swedish authorities have informed the family that the process developed with a lawyer appointed mainly by the Iraqi state, in the decision of the first instance, was sentenced to death.

At first it was suspected that he could be killed in prison, but he is kept there in a high security regime together with several other European citizens.
