Accused of drug cultivation/ 31-year-old extradited to Albania

A 31-year-old man accused of being a co-author of the cultivation of thousands of narcotic plants in several villages in the Lezha District this year has been arrested in Montenegro and extradited to Albania.

As a result of close cooperation and exchange of information between specialists from Interpol Tirana and specialists from Interpol Podgorica, the Albanian citizen, MD, 31 years old, born in Lezha, was arrested in Montenegro and extradited to Albania.

In April of this year, the Lezha Court assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the criminal offense of "Cultivation of narcotic plants", committed in collaboration.

Citizen MD is accused of cultivating, in collaboration with citizens identified during the police operation codenamed "Vacuum", thousands of narcotic plants in the villages of Gocaj and Rraboshte, Lezha, which were then processed for sale.

The sale of narcotics was prevented as a result of the intervention of the Lezha Police services, as part of Operation "Vacuum", which seized 3 bags of approximately 34 kg of cannabis in the village of Balldre, in April of this year.
