A case of contraband goods is cracked/ 25 thousand euros are seized

Specialists of the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section, in continuation of their work to prevent, identify and crack down on criminal activities in the field of goods smuggling, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Label Hunt".

As a result of this operation, citizen S. Ç., 48 years old, was arrested and criminal proceedings were initiated against E. Ç., 20 years old, father and son, both residents of Elbasan.

On the "Tirana-Elbasan" road axis, the Police services stopped the vehicle with the driver, citizen S. Ç., and the passenger, citizen E. Ç. During the search, goods (clothing, bags) worth around 25,000 euros were found in this vehicle, which are suspected of being smuggled.

The verifications carried out revealed that these citizens would sell these goods at the entity under their administration in Elbasan.
