51 kg of cannabis hidden in the chassis/ 30-year-old arrested in Gjirokastra, 3

A 30-year-old man was arrested in flagrante delicto in Gjirokastra, after about 51 kg of Cannabis Sativa was found hidden in an improvised space on the chassis of his vehicle.

Citizen NP had divided the narcotics into 48 packages, with the aim of trafficking them to Greece.

As part of the operation, 3 citizens were identified and declared wanted, one of them, the brother of the arrested person, collaborators in this case, suspected of having the roles of organizer and assistant.

As a result of a well-organized investigative and operational work, carried out by specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Sector, in cooperation with the Operational Sector and the services of the "Eagle" Special Force, with the aim of suppressing an attempt to traffic a large quantity of the narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa into Greece, the "Black Scale" operation was finalized.

As part of this operation, citizen NP, 30 years old, resident of the village of Rusan, Delvinë, was arrested in flagrante delicto, and citizens EP, 38 years old (brother of citizen NP), resident of the village of Rusan, DC, 41 years old, resident of Saranda, and Sh. A., 30 years old, resident of Tepelena, were declared wanted.

The 30-year-old was caught red-handed, in the place called "Black Ladder", transporting 48 packages of suspected narcotics Cannabis Sativa (with a total weight of 51 kilograms and 25 grams) in a "Nissan" vehicle, with the aim of trafficking to Greece.

Citizen NP had hidden the narcotics in the chassis of the vehicle, in an improvised space.

From further investigations conducted by the investigative structures of the Gjirokastër DVP, under the direction of the prosecutor on duty and in cooperation with the structures of the Gjirokastër DVKM and those of the Vlora DVP, it is suspected that the 3 citizens declared wanted, in the roles of organizer and assistant, have collaborated with the 30-year-old, in carrying out this criminal activity.

The narcotics were seized as material evidence, along with the "Nissan" vehicle and 3 cell phones belonging to the arrested person.

Work is underway to capture the 3 wanted citizens, and investigations are continuing with the aim of individualizing and documenting the criminal responsibility of all citizens involved in this case.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra, for further action, for the criminal offense of "Trafficking in Narcotics", committed in collaboration./CNA
