Drifting in the center of Cerrik / The young man is being prosecuted

Police have prosecuted a 26-year-old man and seized his vehicle after he drifted in the center of Cerrik.

Officers identified the 26-year-old from a video posted on TikTok, where he was shown performing dangerous maneuvers.

Proceedings were initiated against him for the criminal offense of "Disturbing public peace" and he was punished with an administrative fine of 40 thousand lek.

The 26-year-old drifted with a vehicle in a residential area, and is being prosecuted criminally and administratively.

The vehicle is seized.

Regarding a video published on the "TikTok" portal, which shows a vehicle performing a dangerous maneuver (drift), in Cërrik, we clarify that the services of the Cërrik Police Commissariat have carried out actions to identify the driver of the vehicle.   

The driver of the vehicle, citizen ST, 26 years old, resident of Cërrik, was escorted to the police station, along with the vehicle.     

Following the actions, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Cërrik Police Commissariat referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office where proceedings were initiated against citizen ST, for the criminal offense of "Disturbance of public peace". 

Also, citizen ST was punished with an administrative fine of 40,000 lek, based on points 3 and 8 of Article 139 of the Road Code.        

The Elbasan Local Police Directorate invites citizens to report any case of violation of traffic rules or other illegal actions that violate public order and safety, by calling 112, and guarantees them that it will react immediately and in accordance with the law.
