Arben Kaçorri, the brother-in-law of Ervis Martinaj, has fallen into the hands of the Portuguese police.

The 52-year-old was arrested in Lisbon for international drug trafficking, as part of the Balkan gang.

Arben Kaçorri lived for 11 years in Lisbon and lived in a luxurious building.

He was sentenced in Italy to about 22 years in prison for murder.

According to foreign media , Martinaj's brother-in-law ran an international drug trafficking network, which operated in Portugal and the Netherlands, together with the Portuguese-Brazilian Icaro Leddy Gouveia.

The latter holds a Dutch passport and lived in the same building as Kaçorri.

Both are in the high-security Monsanto prison in Lisbon, where they await the development of investigations.

Large amounts of money, several expensive vehicles, luxury goods, communication systems and various computer equipment have been seized from them.

According to the Portuguese authorities, they have committed several violent crimes aimed at controlling drug trafficking through the use of force and the use of weapons of war.

International cocaine traffic had as its epicenter the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp, in Belgium./ CNA
