Anti-drug operation in Kavaja/ 13 people arrested for selling drugs in schools

The police in Kavaja have today finalized an anti-drug operation that resulted in the arrest of 13 people who, in collaboration with each other, were selling doses of cocaine and cannabis near schools in Kavaja.

As part of the police operation codenamed "Winter", arrest warrants were executed for 13 citizens: Renaldo Gjondeda, Rudi Dimni, Elion Danai, Rexhep Lushka, Ramazan Kola, Alesio Shaba, Rei Shaba, Endri Meçja, Besnik Belba, Serxho Abazi, Kujtim Veizi, Bardhyl Dumullaku, Arben Xhihani. Also, proceedings have been initiated for citizen NM, 32 years old, resident of Kavaja, and citizen BD, 32 years old, resident of Kavaja, has been declared wanted.

The following were seized as material evidence: 80 doses of cocaine, 620 doses of cannabis, 2 electronic scales, equipment for pressing narcotics and dividing them into doses, amounts of money in euros and lek and 19 mobile phones; 3 silencers, 1 bulletproof vest, equipment for modifying firearms, 1 detector and 1 wave blocker.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that these citizens, in collaboration with each other and individually, were selling doses of cocaine and cannabis narcotics in various areas of Kavaja, mainly near schools./CNA
