Wagner, the Russian mercenary group, is set to be designated a terrorist group by the UK government, meaning it will be illegal to be a member of or support the organisation.
A bill to be tabled in Parliament would allow his assets to be classified as terrorist assets and seized.
But the Home Secretary said Wagner was "violent and destructive, a military tool of Vladimir Putin's Russia".
Wagner played a key role in the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as well as operations in Syria and countries in Africa, including Libya and Mali.
