Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic reacted again this Tuesday regarding the recognition of Kosovo's independence.

During a joint conference with the president of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, he stated that the recognition of Kosovo's independence is not an issue.

"For us, the recognition of Kosovo's independence is not an issue and I have repeated this several times and I am not ashamed to say it and repeat it in front of the president of the European Commission. For Serbia, it is clear what I cannot do against its Constitution, and we have informed all our partners about this not only once but several times. This is the position of Serbia and we know, I repeat, what Serbia has accepted and what we have talked about, debated and approved the conclusions of the Parliament of Serbia and in accordance with this we will behave responsibly and seriously in fulfilling our obligations" , Vucic said.

The President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, said that it is vital that Serbia and Kosovo commit to normalization.

"In this respect, it is important that Serbia supports the statute of the Association of Municipalities, Kosovo must implement this statute, and in addition, it is essential that Serbia starts implementing the existing agreements and does not waste time on this," she said. CNA
