Police in the Czech Republic are seeking information about a stolen racehorse belonging to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.

Chechnya's leader claims that Zazu, who was banned from competing, is worth at least $10 million.

The thoroughbred disappeared from a stable outside Prague on Friday night, local police said in a statement.

"Zazu" was previously ranked among the best racehorses in the world and won at least €1 million in prize money during his career.

In 2014, the horse was disqualified from the race after Kadyrov was placed under European sanctions following Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea.
