The world's oldest woman has died in South Africa at the age of 128, after living three different centuries.

Johanna Mazibuko, died at her home in Jouberton, North West Province. People close to her said she had identity documents proving she was born on May 11, 1894, foreign media reported. 

She grew up on a farm and never went to school and could not read or write.

Mazibuko had seven children, two of whom are still alive, and more than 50 grandchildren. She celebrated her 128th birthday last year. Mazibuko survived both World Wars and was alive during the reign of Queen Victoria, the Wright brothers' first flight and the Russian revolution.

“When I die, they have to slaughter a cow for me. They should bury me well, so that I never disturb them", she said./ CNA.al
