Easter Greetings/ US Secretary Rubio Shares Message for Christians

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has shared his Easter greetings. Rubio wished all Christian believers around the world a happy Easter.

In a message released by the White House, Rubio states that Easter commemorates the resurrection of the Son of God, who has been given supreme authority over all nations.

Rubio said that on this holiday, he also prays for all Christians who were unable to celebrate Holy Week and Easter without fear of persecution.

"As believers around the world spend Holy Week and celebrate Easter, the United States sends warm greetings to Christians everywhere.

Easter commemorates the resurrection of the Son of God, who has been given supreme authority over all nations. With Christians around the world, we celebrate that Christ is risen and that Christ is King.

"We are united in prayer for the many Christians who cannot celebrate Holy Week and Easter without fear of persecution. May God protect and preserve His people, and may all nations respect the right of Christians to worship Christ," Rubio wished. /CNA
