The Ukrainian Air Force said it shot down 22 of the 27 Shahed drones that Russia attacked five regions of Ukraine overnight.

The attack damaged an industrial facility and injured one person in the Poltava region, Governor Filip Pronin said on Telegram.

The Ukrainian military destroyed six drones over the southern Mykolaiv region, the governor said.

He added that no casualties were reported, but a private house was destroyed and about ten others were damaged.

Four drones were shot down over the southern Kherson region and another four over the central Dnipropetrovsk region, the governors of the regions said.

The attack also targeted the northern region of Sumy, with no details of damage reported by regional authorities.

Russia has increased its bombing of civilian energy infrastructure in Ukraine since March, destroying most of its power plant and hydroelectric capacity.
