The balance of the war deepens/ About 8 thousand victims in Israel and Gaza

Israel is continuing its bombing of the Gaza Strip as it prepares for a ground invasion.

But as the attacks continue, the number of victims has always been increasing.

Gaza's Hamas-run Health Ministry says almost 6,500 people have been killed since October 7.

Meanwhile, more than 1,400 were killed in the initial attacks on Israel by Hamas.

Also, more than 200 people are still being held hostage in Gaza.

The UN has raised the alarm that gas in Gaza is running out and therefore hospitals are suspending all but emergency services. 

Israel, which has blocked power and fuel in Gaza, has reacted to the UN statement, accusing Hamas of having fuel, but using it only for war purposes and not for people./ CNA
