At least 7 people killed by shootings in the US

A gunman has killed seven people at two different locations in Half Moon Bay in California, about 50 kilometers south of San Francisco, while it is known that another person is in critical condition from his injuries.

The Sheriff's Office first received reports of shots fired shortly before 2:30 p.m. and found four people dead from gunshot wounds and a fifth person wounded at the first location.

Shortly thereafter, officers found three more people dead at another location nearby, Capt. Eamonn Allen said in a news release.

California Governor Gavin Newsom tweeted that he “was at the hospital meeting with the victims of the shooting the day before when I was informed of another attack. This time in Half Moon Bay. Tragedy after tragedy".

Half Moon Bay is a small coastal town, home to about 12,000 residents./REL
