Tariffs with Mexico and Canada/ Trump warns of increase

United States President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News that tariffs on Canada and Mexico could increase in the future.

Trump said CEOs have asked to see projections for CapEx spending and shareholder goals.

"For years, the globalists have been tearing the United States apart. They've taken money away from the United States, and all we're doing is giving some of it back, and we're going to treat our country fairly. This country has been ripped off by every nation in the world, every company in the world. We've been ripped off to levels never seen before, and what we're going to do is give it back ," Trump said.

During Trump's first term, the USMCA agreement was signed, which imposed new tariffs on Mexico and Canada.

A few days ago, the US president announced that the 25% tariff with Mexico will be suspended until April 2. The tariffs will be reinstated after April 2. Trump said that this decision came to help the two neighboring countries of the US to some extent./ CNA
