German Chancellor Olaf Scholz discussed the situation in Ukraine with President Volodymyr Zelensky in a telephone conversation on November 11, shortly before the G20 summit, which will be held next week in Indonesia.

This is what official Berlin said, where according to the announcement, the Ukrainian president informed the German chancellor about the latest developments in Kherson.

Russia has announced on November 10 that it has begun withdrawing Russian troops from Kherson, a strategic Ukrainian city.

The two condemned Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure and discussed ways to strengthen Ukraine's energy sector.

Scholz said Germany will continue to support Kiev with energy infrastructure and air defense.

Over the past month, the Russian military has targeted Ukrainian energy infrastructure, causing blackouts in the country. On November 6, there were power cuts in Kiev.

They also called for the continuation of the grain agreement, which allows the export of Ukrainian agricultural products in order to improve the global food situation.

Russia and Ukraine are both key suppliers of the grain, and the ongoing conflict has only highlighted the fragility of the global food supply chain when the two main countries are out of the market.
