Russia puts Zelensky on the wanted list

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has placed the name of the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, on the list of wanted persons and it has been published in the database of the ministry.

Zelensky is wanted on criminal charges, but it is not specified what the charges are. Moreover, it is not known when Zelensky's name was included in the list.

The former Ukrainian president, Petro Poroshenko, has also been added to the list of persons wanted by Russia.

Even in the past, Russian authorities have placed the names of Ukrainian officials and politicians on the wanted list. Last December, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia placed the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Kirill Budanov, on the list of wanted persons.

Last spring, a Moscow court indicted him in absentia for creating a terrorist community, carrying out a terrorist attack by a group of people, and possessing weapons and explosive devices.
