Rubio on Iran talks: Significant progress, but work remains to be done

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has stated that "significant progress" has been made in talks with Iran, hinting that there could be new developments today.

In his statement, Rubio emphasized that although the situation is not final, there is a possibility that the world will receive "good news" within a few hours, especially regarding the situation in the strait.

However, he added that "we still have work to do" and preferred to leave official announcements on the details of the agreement to President Donald Trump.

The Secretary of State reaffirmed the US's firm position that Iran can never possess a nuclear weapon, describing as "absurd" rumors that the US administration could accept an agreement that would strengthen Tehran's position on the issue.

During the conference, Rubio also confirmed that the objectives of the military operation "Epic Fury" have been achieved. According to him, the clear goals of this operation were to destroy the Iranian navy, neutralize the ability to launch ballistic missiles and damage Iran's defense industrial base.
