Reuters: Russian satellites help Iran with detailed images of the Middle East

Russian satellites have conducted dozens of detailed imaging studies of military facilities and critical locations across the Middle East to help Iran strike US forces and other targets, according to a Ukrainian intelligence assessment reported by the prestigious media outlet 'Reuters'. 

The findings also revealed that Russian and Iranian hackers were cooperating in the cyber domain. They represent the most detailed account yet of how Russia has been providing covert support to Iran since Israel and the US launched their attack on February 28.

The report suggests that just days after these recordings, several of the monitored targets, including bases and command centers, were struck by Iranian ballistic missiles and drones, showing a clear pattern of action.

The document also highlights the growing cooperation between Russia and Iran in the cyber field, where hackers from both countries are suspected of coordinating joint activities.

Western military sources have confirmed to Reuters an intensification of Russian satellite activity in the region, as well as the sharing of collected images with Iran.

According to the same report, satellite monitoring has covered several strategic countries, including Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Jordan, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
