The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, presented the opposition's program for the 2025 parliamentary elections.

During the speech at the nightly protest of his supporters, Berisha promised that people who return to Albania and open a business will not pay taxes for 5 years.

Also, he declared that DP will put Albania in first place for salaries and pensions in the Balkans, if it comes to power.

"For my friends, this battle is not only for ourselves, only for our families, for our children, but this battle is for hundreds and thousands of young men and women, Albanian citizens who left, were expelled, were tamed and emptied this country during these eight years from a platform that constitutes true genocide against Albanians.

I guarantee Albanians in emigration and diaspora that the DP program brings together a series of measures, which make possible your smooth, successful return to your beloved land wherever you are.

I give you my word that your return to Albania will be accompanied by a 5-year tax-free period if you open businesses.

It will be accompanied by your placement in the countries you deserve, in the countries where you can contribute more to Albania and Albanians.

We will do everything to bring Albania together, we will once again make it the first place for salaries and pensions in the Balkans.

Together with you, we will return Albania to the path of Europe.

All conditions will be created, with loans and other means for housing, for employment, for business, for activity in the field where you are closest, most specialized.
