It has been ten days since a ceasefire was reached in what is being described as the first step in Donald Trump's peace plan for Gaza.
The next phase, according to the White House plan, focuses on governing the Gaza Strip and creating a government to replace Hamas in the enclave.
Details indicate that it will be governed under a temporary transitional government by a technocratic and apolitical Palestinian committee, responsible for providing day-to-day public services and running municipalities for the people of Gaza.
This committee will be composed of qualified Palestinians and international experts, under the supervision of a new transitional international body, the "Peace Board", which will be led and chaired by President Trump. Other members will include former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.
US officials are "eager" to move to the next phase, although many things are still unclear at the moment. / CNA, translated by BBC
