With 10 kg of cocaine in the car/ One arrested in Kosovo

The Kosovo police said that during an operation they stopped a vehicle with Kosovo license plates on the Fushë Kosovë-Prishina highway, where they found over 10 kilograms of drugs, suspected to be cocaine.

According to the announcement, the citizen of Kosovo, ZJ, was driving the vehicle where drugs of 10 kilograms and 224 grams with a market value of 450,000 euros were found. He was detained for 48 hours and a case was initiated against him for the criminal offense: "unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution and sale of narcotics, psychotropic and analogous substances".

The police said that after finding the drugs in the suspect's car, they also raided his house in the municipality of Graçanica, which is located near Pristina.

During this action, coded "007", the Police also seized a car with Kosovo license plates, 1,445 euros, 8,970 dinars and two mobile phones.

Also, Customs has seized 17 graphics cards for the production of cryptocurrencies.

Since 2022, when Kosovo faced an energy crisis, cryptocurrency mining has been banned in Kosovo. But the authorities constantly confiscate equipment used for their production.
