Continued support for Ukraine/ Rutte meets with Deputy Prime Minister

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte met with Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and Minister of Justice, Ms. Olha Stefanishyna, at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, where she also participated in a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council (NUC).

Discussions with the Deputy Prime Minister focused on the current situation on the battlefield, NATO's continued support for Ukraine, and the progress Ukraine continues to make in reforms.

NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska chaired the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting. She highlighted ongoing efforts to bring Ukraine closer to NATO, including the NATO Security Assistance and Training Command for Ukraine (NSATU) in Wiesbaden, the Joint Analysis, Training and Education Centre (JATEC) and the Comprehensive Assistance Package (CAP) for Ukraine.

She indicated that allies are on track to fulfill the pledge made at the Washington Summit to provide 40 billion euros in security assistance and welcomed the allies' increasing investment in Ukraine's defense industry. /CNA
