Norway's Prime Minister: Europe should buy more weapons together

Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store stated that Europe should coordinate armaments spending and also include Norway along with Great Britain.

In an interview with Bloomberg Television, Store said that his country is ready to work on purchasing weapons together with other European countries, deepening cooperation with Great Britain and other Nordic countries, members of NATO.

" This will be a discussion now about how each country will have to make an effort and how we can pool resources together. We are now deepening our defense cooperation with the Nordics, because we have geography together, and with the United Kingdom, because we share a maritime perspective that will also include the military industry ," Store said in his interview.

The Norwegian Prime Minister will take part in the meeting of European leaders, hosted by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, on Sunday in London.

A meeting in which the security guarantees that Europe can offer to Ukraine if a ceasefire agreement with Russia is reached will be discussed.
