Kremlin: We will study Zelensky's "victory plan" if it is

The Kremlin said on Monday it will study what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has described as a "victory plan" aimed at ending the war with Russia when details of it become public.

Mr. Zelensky will present the plan this week to US President Joe Biden as well as two presidential candidates, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, during his visit to the United States.

On Tuesday, Mr. Zelensky is expected to deliver a speech before the UN General Assembly.

The plan, the details of which have not been made public, appears to be a strong effort by Mr. Zelenskiy to persuade Washington and other allies to provide further and greater aid to his country in an effort to forced Moscow to end the conflict based on terms acceptable to Kiev.

Ukrainian officials have suggested that Russia be invited to a high-level meeting to discuss resolving the conflict based on this plan.

Asked about Mr. Zelensky's initiative, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Moscow cannot analyze media reports.

" If information about it appears from official sources, we will certainly look into it. There is a lot of contradictory and unreliable information about him, so we are being very careful ," he added./ VOA
