Israel warns of emergency evacuation in Beirut's southern suburbs

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have issued an urgent warning to residents in several areas of Beirut's southern suburbs, urging them to evacuate immediately due to ongoing airstrikes.

According to IDF spokesman Avichay Adraee, residents in the Haret Hreik area should evacuate their buildings and surroundings “immediately.” He stressed that the targets of the attacks are buildings that, according to the Israeli military, are linked to Hezbollah.

The warning comes at a time of heightened tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, with frequent clashes along the border and attacks that have expanded the scope of the conflict on Lebanese territory.

Local authorities have not yet given a full assessment of the damage or possible casualties, while the situation on the ground remains tense. Residents of the affected areas report loud explosions and numerous ambulance movements in the direction of the affected neighborhoods.
