Rare/ US President joins protesters, Biden motivates auto workers

A rare event has taken place in Michigan, USA, where the American president has joined the auto workers' protest.

Biden descended on the square where the protest was taking place for the 12th day in a row and supported the cause of the auto workers.

It motivated them to demand higher wages and better working conditions at a time when car companies have seen rising profits.

"I think you should be able to bargain for a pay rise.

“The fact is, you guys saved the auto industry in 2008 ... you made a lot of sacrifices. You gave up a lot. And the companies were in trouble. Now they are doing extremely well and I can guess that you should be much better too" , he declared.

This action has put Biden in history, as the first President in the United States of America to go out in protest and join the workers./ CNA
