Monday, a day of national mourning in Kosovo

Monday will be a day of national mourning in Kosovo, in honor of policeman Afrim Bunjaku, who was killed today.

The decision was taken by President Vjosa Osmani, triggered by the killing of an officer in the line of duty, to protect the north of Kosovo.

" The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, in support of the Constitution of Kosovo, has decided that Monday, September 25, 2023, will be declared a national day of mourning in honor of the policeman Afrim Bunjaku, killed in the north of the country.

The state mourning will be on Monday, while the State Protocol is tasked with taking all the necessary actions for the implementation of this decision" , announced the Presidency.

We remind you that officer Afrim Bunjaku was killed by a criminal group composed of Serbs, who opened fire on the police in the early hours of this Sunday./ CNA
