The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vu?i?, has stated that the senior European officials, Olaf Scholz, Emmanuel Macron and Giorgia Meloni, know that Serbia will not sign and accept the independence of Kosovo.

During an interview, Vucic revealed the conversation with the high representative of the EU, Josep Borrel, in whose eyes he stated that he will not sign and accept the independence of Kosovo, underlining that this has not been easy for him at all.

However, he emphasized that he understands that Serbia may face serious consequences.

"I would be lying if I said that these are big threats, that these people have inappropriate language, or anything else. They are good people," Vucic told Tanjug.

Asked if the European leaders have understood it, Vu?i? answered positively and added that they see what the other side is doing. However, he says that all those countries have recognized Kosovo and that it has never happened that such great powers say they were wrong.

He also emphasizes that Serbia is a "pebble in their shoe", i.e. a repetition of the history of 1999 and the destruction of international-public-legal norms./ CNA
