Albin Kurti, the leader of LVV and also the Prime Minister of Kosovo, is a politician who has played an important role in Kosovar politics, becoming a key figure in promoting ideas of change and the fight against corruption.

Born on May 24, 1975, he is educated in the field of computer engineering. He completed his studies at the University of Pristina, and then continued his studies for a master's degree in the field of political science.

Kurti was one of the leaders of student and civic movements during the Milosevic regime, demanding the rights of Albanians in Kosovo. He played an important role in organizing protests against the Serbian regime during the 1990s and in the period before the Kosovo War.

After the war, he began to actively engage in politics, founding the Vetëvendosje Movement in 2005, a party known for its strong pro-independence and anti-corruption stances, but also for a strong stance against foreign influences in Kosovo.

LVV, under Kurti's leadership, has become a political force with great influence on the political scene in Kosovo, demanding a deep reform of the state and a cleaner government. The goal of LVV was and remains to build a stronger and more direct state for the citizens, making politics more transparent and accountable.

Kurti and LVV called for a direct democracy system, where citizens have greater opportunities to participate in decision-making.

Kurti has served as Prime Minister of Kosovo in two different terms. In 2020, after a successful electoral campaign, he became Prime Minister, but his government was overthrown after a no-confidence motion proposed by coalition partners.

In 2021, LVV won the parliamentary elections convincingly, and Kurti was re-elected Prime Minister.

He is a supporter of Kosovo's territorial integrity and is committed to strengthening Kosovo's institutions. He has had a strong and direct approach to relations with Serbia, emphasizing that the dialogue should include clear demands for mutual recognition and recognition of Kosovo's sovereignty, always adhering to the condition that the dialogue with Belgrade focus on recognizing Kosovo's independence and in order to have a fair and equitable agreement for both sides.
