Global Index Report/ Albania 14th for the most expensive oil in the world

"Global Price Index" recently ranked Albania with the highest oil prices globally. 

According to the report, a liter of oil in Albania is traded more expensively than in North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Greece, but also Kosovo.

The report states that due to the war in Ukraine, the Albanian government took over control of the ceiling price of fuel in the country through the creation of the Transparency Board.

As it is emphasized that in recent weeks the decisions of the board are going more in favor of the oil companies than the citizens, since the prices in the stock exchanges are decreasing, while they are increasing in our country.

Shqipëria renditet e 14-ta në botë për çmimin e një litri naftë, duke lënë pas vendet e zhvilluara si Singapori dhe Gjermania.

Në raportet e mëparshme të Global Price, Shqipëria renditej ndër 20 vendet me çmimet më të larta të naftës në botë, por së fundmi vendi po shkon drejt majës për çmimet më të larta pasi ulja e çmimit në bursë nuk po reflektohet me të njëjtën shpejtësi si në vendet e tjera.

Kështu, prej disa ditësh, çmimi i një fuçie naftë në bursë ka arritur në nivelin e para luftës, por pavarësisht kësaj në vendin tonë, një litër naftë dhe benzinë vijon të tregtohet me 30 deri në 50 lekë më tepër.

Qeveria vijon të justifikojë çmimet e larta me luhatjet e çmimit të naftës së përpunuar si edhe kursin e këmbimit valutor. “Çdo referencë mbi uljen apo rritjen e çmimit të naftës bruto në tregjet ndërkombëtare, nuk impakton në të njëjtën mënyrë dhe në të njëjtën kohë bursën e nënprodukteve gazoil, benzinë.

Under these conditions, the mission of the Transparency Board can only be considered a failure.
